Week 11

HI everyone;  this is your last week(11) to paint on location, so let's meet at the LA Arboretum.   Weeks 12 and 13 will be your final opportunity to embellish and complete your 3 location paintings in the lab, as well as your architectural painting.

Week 10

Hi everyone;  we will meet at the L.A. Arboretum tomorrow (Friday class) for a great day of plein-air painting.  We just have this week and next week to complete your outdoor painting sessions.
Weeks 12 and 13 will be lab sessions to prepare for the final in week 14.
Please double-check your supply list and have  two boards; 1 for the value study, and 1 for the final painting.  Please remember to bring your water in a plastic container with a lid.  
It will be cool so please bring sweaters or jackets...

Week 9

HI everyone;  It looks like tomorrow (Friday) will be a terrific day to paint outside!  Let's meet at Descanso Gardens,1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge .This will be our second and last trip to the gardens/

The admission is $6.00 for students, so please remember to bring your student I.D. card.
Parking is free and the cafe is open. 
Please wait at the umbrella tables on your left side, just after entering the park...

You may continue to work on your landscape or architectural paintings, or you can paint outside

on campus.
Please bring any original paintings or photographs you may want to continue painting as well.
