Welcome Summer Class 2017

Hi Everyone;  Welcome to the summer session of Digital Landscape!  Both the Tuesday and Friday classes will meet at the L.A. Arboretum in Arcadia.   From Pasadena, take the 210 Fwy east to the Baldwin Exit.  Turn Right on Baldwin.  The Arboretum will be directly on the right side.
Be sure to double check your supply list, including a sealed water container
Prepare your palette with the sponge and palette-paper before leaving for the park.
The weather is expected to be cool on Friday, so dress appropriately.  Sweaters or jackets
are recommended. 

Please meet in front of the entrance by the benches.  If you are getting the yearly pass ($35.00),
you can get that in the office next to the entrance.  Be sure to mention you are from Art Center.
Also, remember to bring your student  I.D!  The student  admission is $6.00

This is our last week to complete the 4 paintings due for the final next week.
Please bring all original art or scans to class, with your photo reference.

Week 12

Hi everyone;  we're in week 12 and finals are approaching.  This week and week 13 will be the final lab sessions to embellish and complete your 4 paintings and 2 master copies, all due week 14.
Please remember to bring all original paintings with reference, as well as photos for your architectural paintings to class.
Please be in class by 9:30 am...

Week 10

Hi everyone;  we will meet at the L.A. Arboretum tomorrow (Friday class) for a great day of plein-air painting.  We just have this week and next week to complete your outdoor painting sessions.
Weeks 12 and 13 will be lab sessions to prepare for the final in week 14.
Please double-check your supply list and have  two boards; 1 for the value study, and 1 for the final painting.  Please remember to bring your water in a plastic container with a lid.  
It will be cool so please bring sweaters or jackets...

Week 9

HI everyone;  It looks like tomorrow (Friday) will be a terrific day to paint outside!  Let's meet at Descanso Gardens,1418 Descanso Drive, La Canada Flintridge .This will be our second and last trip to the gardens/

The admission is $6.00 for students, so please remember to bring your student I.D. card.
Parking is free and the cafe is open.
