Week 8

 The Friday class will meet at the Arboretum  

 From Pasadena, take the 210 fwy east to the Baldwin Exit. (about 10 minutes),  turn right on Baldwin and the Arboretum will be immediately on your right. 

You can pay admission ($6.00 with student I.D.),  and meet at the staging area just to the right as you enter the park. 

Be sure to double-check your supply list.  Make sure you bring a water container that closes tightly with at least 32 ozs. of water, and 2 boards:  approx;  5 x 7". and a smaller board for the value study...

 Prepare your palette and paper in advance..
  1.  cut sponge and paper to fit the palette
  2.  put wet sponge in the palette
  3.  soak paper in hot water for at least 5 minutes
  4.  place wet palette paper on top of sponge
  5.  close lid and bring with you 

      Please bring a light sweater     

 Admission is 6.00 with student I.D. (don't forget it) Please arrive by 9:30 am,   See you there!

Week 8

Tomorrows class (Friday)) will meet in the LAB.  Please bring your painting from last week as well as your PHOTO reference.  If you have your PHOTO reference for the architectural painting, please bring those as well.  To save time, you can scan your artwork in advance and bring the digital file, or scan your work on the 3rd floor when you get to class.
Please be in class by 9 am...

HI class:  it's expected to be warm tomorrow, ( Monday), so let's meet at Descanso Gardens.

   PLEASE.... Be sure to double-check your supply list.  Make
