Week 12

HI everyone;  All classes this week will meet in the Computer Lab.  We just have 2 weeks to complete all 4 paintings; (3 landscape, 1 architectural) before week 14.  Please bring your paintings from last week as well as your PHOTO REFERENCE.  Also, bring your PHOTO REFERENCE for your architectural painting as well. 

To save time, you may scan your artwork in advance and bring the digital file, or scan your work on the 3rd floor when you get to class.

Please be in class by 9 am...

Week 11

Monday's class will meet at the HIllside Campus in front of the Ahamanson Theatre, under the bridge; (on the side where the cafeteria is) Be sure to double-check your supply list.  Make sure you bring a water container that closes tightly with at least 32 ozs. of water, and 2 boards:  approx;  5 x 7". and a smaller board for the value study...  Prepare your palette and paper in advance..
  1.  cut sponge and paper to fit the palette
  2.  put wet sponge in the palette
  3.  soak paper in hot water for at least 5 minutes
  4.  place wet palette paper on top of sponge
  5.  close lid and bring with you 

      Please bring a light sweater     

 

Please arrive by 9:30 am,   See you there!

Week 10

  

 Fridays class will meet at the Hillside campus.  Please meet in front of the Times auditorium, 
(could be the Ahamonson?), whichever is under the bridge on the side where the cafeteria is..  We will paint on campus.

Week 8

WEEK 4 - Fridays class will meet at the L.A. Arboretum.   From Pasadena, take the 210 fwy east to the Baldwin Exit. (about 10 minutes),  turn right on Baldwin and the Arboretum will be immediately on your right. 

You can pay admission ($6.00 with student I.D.),  and meet at the staging area just to the right as you enter the park.
